Gas station attendant robbed at gunpoint

A man with a gun robbed an attendant at the U.S. Petroleum gas station at 465 Nassau Rd. in Roosevelt Saturday night, police said.

A masked man confronted the attendant at 7:25 p.m., demanding money and firing one shot into the ground. The attendant handed him $800 and the man ran south on Nassau Road.
