A Glen Cove man was charged with drunken driving early Sunday morning in East Hills with three children under the age of 15 in the vehicle, Nassau County police said.

There were no injuries.

Alex R. Majano, 38, of Elm Avenue, was charged with three counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age, driving while intoxicated and five traffic violations.

According to police, a highway patrol officer saw Majano driving a white 2011 Toyota Sienna eastbound on the Long Island Expressway at Exit 34, drifting across the lanes and unable to maintain his lane of travel as he got off at Exit 39.

Majano was stopped by police at the North Service Road and Glen Cove Road where an investigation found the defendant was driving while intoxicated and had three minor children in the minivan, police said.

The children were released to a family member. Police declined to reveal whether the children were related to Majano.

Majano was scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
