Cops: Swastika, lewd graffiti spray-painted near Oceanside homes
Investigators are searching for whoever spray-painted “a lewd drawing” and a swastika in blue paint discovered outside two homes in Oceanside on Wednesday.
Nassau County police said the drawings, discovered around 7 a.m., are being investigated as bias incidents.
Both homes are on Lincoln Avenue near the intersection with Perkins Avenue.
Police said a male homeowner, 54, discovered the lewd drawing spray-painted on a fence outside his home and that, at about the same time, a 45-year-old female neighbor discovered the swastika spray-painted on the sidewalk outside her home.
The swastika measured about 12-by-12 inches, police said.
Police asked anyone with information about the graffiti to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will remain confidential.
