A man with a black and silver handgun robbed a gas station in Hicksville on Thursday night, police said.

The man entered the Gulf station at 575 South Broadway at 9:40 p.m., displayed the handgun and demanded money, Nassau County police said.

The robber fled north toward Marvin Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

He was about 20 to 25 years old, 160 pounds, wearing dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes, police said.

Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
