Cops: Boy, 14, in Huntington Station found with handgun

A 14-year-old boy is accused of possessing a handgun in Huntington Station earlier Friday, Suffolk County police said.
The hometown of the boy was not immediately disclosed.
Officers responded to a 911 caller who reported at 3:40 a.m. a group of teens, possibly armed with guns, around Oakwood Road in Huntington Station, police said in a news release. The officers found the group on Fenwood Road and arrested the boy who had a .380 semiautomatic handgun with three rounds in the magazine.
The boy was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said. He was released to a family member and will be arraigned at a later date.
