Hampton Bays man, 18, charged with DWI after crash, cops say
An 18-year-old was arrested early Monday and charged with drunken driving after he was involved in a two-car crash on Montauk Highway West in Hampton Bays, police said.
Nelvin Ramos, of Hampton Bays, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and issued multiple violations following the 1:42 a.m. crash, Southampton Town police said.
The other driver, whose identity was not released, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.
Ramos was being held for arraignment.
