A Hempstead man faces murder charges after he fatally stabbed one employee and injured another at a Brooklyn IHOP restaurant on Friday night, the NYPD said.

Police arrested Wilbur Salazar Rios, 44, following an investigation into the incident at the IHOP at 11000 Flatlands Avenue. Police responded to a 911 call for an assault inside the restaurant around 10:39 p.m.

Officers found Hector Reinoso-Perez, 67, with a stab wound to the torso and a 41-year-old man with a slash wound to the hand. Both were IHOP employees, police said.

Police said the weapon was a knife.

Reinoso-Perez was taken to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

On Sunday around 4:15 p.m., police arrested Salazar Rios at the 69th Precinct. He is charged with murder, assault with intent to cause serious physical injury and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Salazar Rios was not an IHOP employee, and his motive was not yet determined, police said.
