Hempstead Mobile Talk store robbed, Nassau police say
Police are searching for a gunman who held up a Mobile Talk store in Hempstead late Monday afternoon, stealing cash before fleeing the scene on foot.
The armed robbery occurred at the store on Fulton Avenue at 4:56 p.m., Nassau County police said.
Police said the man entered the store armed with a black handgun, approached the two employees — and demanded cash. The employees complied.
There were no customers in the store at the time and there were no reported injuries, police said.
The robber wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
