Police are searching for a gunman who held up a Mobile Talk store in Hempstead late Monday afternoon, stealing cash before fleeing the scene on foot.

The armed robbery occurred at the store on Fulton Avenue at 4:56 p.m., Nassau County police said.

Police said the man entered the store armed with a black handgun, approached the two employees — and demanded cash. The employees complied.

There were no customers in the store at the time and there were no reported injuries, police said.

The robber wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
