Hewlett convenience store robbed by masked man, police say
He wore a helmet and a mask, sunglasses and black, white and yellow gloves when he entered a store Wednesday night in Hewlett, lifting his sweatshirt to reveal a gun — and signal he was robbing the place, Nassau County police said.
Police are asking for the public’s help locating the suspect who robbed The Barn store on Broadway at 9:40 p.m.
Police said the suspect entered the store, lifted his sweatshirt “exposing the gun to the female employee,” then took cash from the register — and drove away on a black and white motorcycle.
Police said he was last seen on Peninsula Boulevard, headed toward Woodmere.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will remain confidential.
