Cops: Man with knife arrested on Hicksville LIRR platform
A man with a knife was arrested on the westbound Long Island Rail Road platform in Hicksville shortly before dawn on Monday, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.
The circumstances that led to his arrest and any other details, other than the time, which was just before 6 a.m., were not immediately released as the investigation has yet to finish, the authority added.
The LIRR in a tweet advised passengers: "The 5:11am train from Penn Station due Ronkonkoma at 6:29am is being delayed at Hicksville due to police activity."
