Suffolk County police arrested a West Babylon man Friday, charging him with a June hit-and-run crash that killed a New Jersey man in Wyandanch.

Police said Jason Jean-Joseph, 24, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash after police said he struck and killed Hillel Fuld, 29, of Teaneck, New Jersey.

Fuld was struck by a vehicle June 13 heading east on Wyandanch Avenue, east of Mount Avenue, at about 7:30 p.m. The vehicle then sped away, police said.

Fuld was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Jean-Joseph Friday. He was scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip. Details of his arraignment and his attorney were not available Friday evening.

Court records show Jean-Joseph was also charged on a warrant with possession of crack cocaine.

Fuld is the cousin of an American-Israeli tech blogger named Hillel Fuld, the blogger said in an Instagram post in June.
