Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday in Brentwood.

Suffolk County police identified the victim as Fredy Rivera-Bravo, 56, of Brentwood.

According to police, Rivera-Bravo was fatally struck at about 3:15 a.m. by an unknown vehicle on Second Avenue, near Seventh Street.

Rivera-Bravo was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No further information was immediately available and the investigation was continuing.
