Nassau County police identified the victim Friday as Yinauri A. Taveras. Police said the 32-year-old man was originally from Amityville, but recently had been splitting his time between Puerto Rico and Westbury.

Police said officers responded to a call on Wayside Lane at 12:13 a.m. — and found the body "on the side of the road."
