A Jericho man is facing charges that he sent Nassau County police to his neighbor’s home on four occasions on bogus reports of hearing shots fired or a woman screaming, authorities said.

Lawrence Michlin, 45, of Friendly Lane, called 911 to falsely report emergency calls at another home on the street beginning in March, police said.

During two calls Michlin told 911 operators that he heard shots fired and during two other calls he reported hearing a woman screaming. Officers from the Second Precinct responded to the calls and found them to be unfounded, authorities said.

Michlin was arrested early Wednesday at his home, charged with falsely reporting an incident.

He was released on a desk appearance ticket and is due in First District Court in Hempstead on Sept. 2.
