Suffolk County police have arrested a teen and a juvenile in the robbery of pizza deliveryman in Gordon Heights on Friday night.

A 22-year-old Coram man was delivering a pizza to a house on Dunbar Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. when a group of five males approached him, police said. The deliveryman dropped the pizza and attempted to flee.

The deliveryman was able to get into his car after a struggle and drive away, police said.

Sixth Precinct and Canine Section officers responded and searched the area. Canine Section Officer Kenneth O’Brien and his dog, Dodge, found a vehicle with several people inside on Granny Road and two male passengers were arrested, police said.

Joel Elam, 17, of 572 Granny Rd., Medford, was charged with second-degree robbery. The juvenile, who was not identified, was also charged with second-degree robbery.

Elam is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.
