Lakeview robbery; Nassau cops seek 4 masked suspects
Nassau County police are investigating a robbery Saturday in Lakeview during which the victim was struck in the face and his iPhone and cash taken.
Police said the victim, identified only as an 18-year-old male, was walking in the rear of Malverne High School near Parkside Road about 4:30 p.m. when he was approached by four males wearing dark clothing, hooded sweatshirts and masks.
The suspects struck the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground and took his cash and cellphone, police said. The suspects then fled. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries and released.
Detectives ask anyone with information about the incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All call will be kept confidential.
