A Holtsville woman found intoxicated behind the wheel of her car had her 9-year-old in the front seat, Nassau County police said.

Officers responding to a 911 call about a possible drunken driver saw a 2017 Nissan Maxima idling on the street near Bayview Avenue and Mohawk Place in Massapequa about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Driver Angela Briel, 34, of Cassa Loop, was arrested without incident and her son was released to a relative, police said.

Briel was charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated drunken driving under Leandra’s Law, police said.

That law makes it a felony to drive drunk with a passenger 15 years of age or younger in the vehicle.

Briel was awaiting arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
