Levittown gas station robbed at gunpoint, police say

A man with a handgun robbed a convenience mart at an Exxon gas station on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown early Tuesday, Nassau County police said.
The man entered the store at about 1:05 a.m., displayed the gun and demanded money, police said.
The robber got an undisclosed amount of cash and fled toward nearby Jerusalem Avenue, police said.
He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and had his face partially covered with a mask, police said.
Detectives ask anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
