A clothes thief was arrested Tuesday after he stole from two businesses at a Levittown bazaar last month and burned a hole in the gate of one store, Nassau County police said.

Michael Chartorynsky, 25, of Levittown, is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on two counts of third-degree burglary and fifth-degree arson, police said.

He took about $200 in merchandise from the Tri-County Flea Market on Hempstead Turnpike about 2:15 p.m. March 22, police said. According to the market’s website, the building is not open on Tuesdays.

Chartorynsky crawled under an opening in Lily’s Sweats kiosk, then burned a hole in the locked mesh security gate at Raj’s Sweatshirts, police said.

He was arrested at his Sunset Lane home, police said. Other details were not available Tuesday night, police said.
