Aqeel Ahmad, 53, of Selden, accused in 3rd incident of allegedly attempting to take lewd photos

An Eastern Suffolk BOCES worker who had recently been charged with trying to photograph under the clothes of a child was arrested for also attempting to photograph under the shorts of a 25-year-old woman on the same day, according to Suffolk County police. 

Aqeel Ahmad, 53, of Selden, was charged with second degree unlawful surveillance for the incident on Sept. 11 at the ShopRite supermarket in Selden, police said Sunday.

In November, Ahmad had been arrested for allegedly attempting to take photos under the shorts of a 17-year-old girl on the same day at the same location, Newsday previously reported. He was charged with second degree unlawful surveillance.

His first charge of second degree unlawful surveillance came in October, when he was arrested after allegedly taking photos under the dress of a 13-year-old girl as she looked at greeting cards in a retail store on Oct. 19, Newsday reported. Ahmad was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child for that incident.

Ahmad will be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip for the incident involving the 25-year-old woman.

Eastern Suffolk BOCES officials said on Nov. 20 that Ahmad had resigned from his job as a special education aide at the Brookhaven Learning Center.
