RIVERHEAD/Cops: Man held woman captive, fired shotgun
A Riverhead man was arrested and charged with recklessly firing several 12-gauge shotgun rounds on Fairway Avenue and other counts, police said yesterday.
Clint M. Marczewski, 35, of 24 Fairway Ave., was charged with reckless endangerment, two counts of menacing, and unlawful imprisonment.
Riverhead police said when officers responded to a report of shots fired at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, they met Idalia Burt of Cutchogue, who said Marczewski had been holding her against her will, and had fired shotgun rounds at her.
Burt was not injured, police said. Marczewski suffered facial cuts from firing the gun.
Marczewski was treated at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead and then held for arraignment.

EAST MEADOW/Woman accused of trying to sneak drugs into jail
An Elmont woman faces drug charges after authorities said she tried to sneak marijuana and Ecstasy pills to an inmate at the Nassau County Correctional Facility, Third Squad detectives said yesterday.
Nassau police said Brianna Valerio, 20, of Albany Street, visited an inmate at the East Meadow facility at about 2:05 p.m. Wednesday. After the visit, correction officials said they saw the inmate "concealing an object" in his hand.
Police said the inmate, Todd Moron, was found to have a ball of duct tape containing marijuana and Ecstasy pills, which came from Valerio.
She was arrested and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, promoting prison contraband and criminal sale of marijuana.
Moron is charged with promoting prison contraband and drug possession. His arraignment information was not immediately available.
