Suffolk police said they arrested a Wyandanch man shortly after he robbed a Selden bank Tuesday afternoon.

Major Case Squad detectives said Rashan Burris, 31, is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday on a first-degree robbery charge.

Police said Burris entered a Chase bank at 999 Middle Country Rd. about 3 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect left the bank, but officers from the Sixth Precinct, Canine Section and Emergency Services Sections located Burris in the area and charged him with the robbery.

It was unclear whether Burris had retained an attorney.
