The LIRR reported the partial suspension of service between Babylon and Patchogue in both directions shortly before 5:30 p.m.

The 4:10 p.m. westbound train from Speonk to Jamaica was delayed at Bay Shore. The 4:27 p.m. eastbound train from Long Island City to Patchogue was operating 10 to 15 minutes late.

Meanwhile, the 5:31 p.m. train from Patchogue to Babylon was canceled, the MTA said. The 5:15 p.m. eastbound train from Babylon to Speonk and the 5:13 p.m. train from Penn Station to Speonk were also canceled.
