A man who was shot in Long Beach on Saturday died Wednesday from his injuries.

Nassau County Police said Humberto Francis Manuel Hernandez, 37 of St. Albans, Queens, was pronounced dead Wednesday at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, four days after he was found critically shot.

Long Beach police were called to 425 East Broadway early Saturday to a report of gunshots where the man was found bleeding.

He was taken by ambulance to South Nassau, where he underwent surgery Saturday morning. He was listed in critical condition before he died.

Nassau County homicide detectives were investigating the shooting. The cause of the shooting was not specified and no arrests or suspects were identified.
