Female victim in serious condition after Long Beach stabbing, police say

Long Beach police are investigating a stabbing Tuesday afternoon that left the victim in serious condition, authorities said.

The female victim was taken to a hospital with multiple injuries to her chest and back, police said.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. at Broadway and Magnolia Avenue, police said.

A man is in custody, police said. The stabbing remains under investigation.
