A worker at a Syosset gas station stole more than $25,000 from the cash register over a period of eight months, Nassau police said Thursday.

Mahesh Kc, 27, of Coram, also falsified records in taking money between last May and December during his shifts at the Gulf station at 251 Jericho Turnpike, police said.

Arrested Thursday night, Kc, of 9 Chesapeake Bay Road, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges of third-degree larceny and five counts of first-degree falsifying business records. A police spokesman said he did not have details on how the records were falsified.
