Man, 19, fatally shot in Hempstead, police say

Nassau County and Hempstead police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man Saturday night.
Police said the man was shot at 8:39 p.m. at 266 Washington St. The victim’s name has not been released.
The man was taken to Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola where he was pronounced dead at 9:06 p.m.
Nassau County homicide detectives are investigating the death.
