An 18-year-old man was assaulted and robbed of his iPhone Friday afternoon in Freeport, Nassau police said.

Officers said the victim was using his iPhone 6 near South Bayview Avenue and Porterfield Place when another male exited a white Honda, punched him in the jaw and took the device.

The suspect re-entered the vehicle, which had three others in it, and fled south on South Bayview Avenue, police said. The victim refused medical attention, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All callers will remain anonymous.
