Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers said Tuesday they are looking for a man who in September scammed a Middle Island restaurant employee out of $260.
The suspect, whose photograph was taken from video surveillance cameras, entered the Good Wok, 1209 Middle Country Rd., at about 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 29, asking an employee to provide change for five $100 bills, police said.
In the process of exchanging bills the man ended up shorting the employee $260, according to Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers.
Anyone with more information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
