A 28-year-old man was a victim of identity fraud in Port Washington earlier this month, Nassau County police said.

Chase Bank notified the victim June 5 of suspicious activity on his credit card, police said in a news release.

The victim told the bank he possessed the card and hadn’t given anyone permission to use it, police said.

Purchases were made via the Apple Pay cellphone app at the Soundview Market Place in Port Washington, police said.

The suspect was recorded on camera using the card. He is a man with medium build, facial hair, wearing a baseball cap and sweatshirt, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Port Washington police at 516-883-0500, ext. 307. All callers will remain anonymous.
