Man dies after Uniondale shooting, police say
One of the two men shot in Uniondale on Wednesday has died of his injuries, Nassau County police said Friday.
Homicide detectives identified the victim as Terrance Brown, 24, of Uniondale.
He had been in critical condition after being struck by gunfire as he and another man, 24, sat in a vehicle on Bira Street, by Jerusalem Avenue, just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. The other victim, who has not been identified, had been in stable condition Thursday. An update on his status was not available Friday.
Details on the circumstances of the shooting were not released Friday. But shortly after the shooting, one resident said he heard three loud bangs, then saw first responders taking a victim on a stretcher from a neighbor's driveway.
Detectives ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
