Suffolk County police are investigating the shooting of a man found early Tuesday in a car on the Poospatuck Reservation in Mastic.

A police spokeswoman said officers responding to a 911 call at about 2 a.m. found the man, 26, with a gunshot wound to his abdomen in a car parked in the driveway of a house on Poospatuck Lane.

He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police did not immediately know whether the man was shot at the Poospatuck Lane location or elsewhere, she said.
