Man in Huntington Station shot in vehicle, Suffolk cops say
Suffolk County police are investigating a shooting in Huntington Station that left one man injured.
The victim, 22, was sitting inside his vehicle on East 20th Street when he was shot in the shoulder about 11:45 p.m. Thursday, police said in a news release Saturday.
The man drove himself to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.
No description of the shooter was given. Second squad detectives are leading the investigation and ask anyone with information to call 631-854-8252 or anonymously to Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.
