Police are searching for a man who robbed a TD Bank branch Wednesday morning in Commack.

The robbery was at 9:07 a.m. at the branch on Jericho Turnpike, Suffolk County police said. Police said the robber entered the bank and approached a teller with a note stating he had a gun and demanding cash.

Police said the teller complied with the demands, gave the man cash from the drawer. He then fled west on Jericho Turnpike, police said.

Police described the robber at having a slim build and about 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9. He wore a Yankees cap, a black hooded sweatshirt and white and dark sneakers, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
