Man sought in West Hempstead bank robbery
The Nassau County Robbery Squad is searching for a man who robbed a West Hempstead bank Monday, police said.
Detectives said a man entered the Roslyn Savings Bank at 50 Hempstead Tpke., at about 12:55 p.m. and gave a note to the teller demanding cash.
After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said. No injuries were reported.
Police said the man wore a black hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap.
