A man was stabbed Sunday outside a mosque in Flushing, Queens, an attack police labeled a possible bias crime.

Investigators were looking for a suspect in the attack that occurred just before 5 a.m. at the Masjid Al-Saaliheen.

Police said the attacker may have made anti-Muslim and anti-Semitic remarks as he stabbed the 57-year-old man in the torso. The man was taken to Queens General Hospital, where he was in stable condition Sunday.

The victim is a man of Asian descent. The attacker is believed to be a Hispanic man in his 40s.

Police said they haven't determined whether the attack near Kissena Boulevard and Aguilar Avenue was a bias crime. The suspect was still on the loose as of Sunday evening.

A message left at the mosque had not been returned.
