Police are searching for two men who robbed a Papa Johns delivery man in North Valley Stream early Wednesday. One of the assailants indicated he had a gun, Nassau County police said.

The robbery took place at 12:37 a.m. on Val Park Avenue.

Police said the man was making his delivery when he was approached by the two assailants who took his cell phone and what police called "an undetermined amount of currency" from the victim's pocket. The two suspects then stole the food that was being delivered -- and fled on foot toward Edwards Boulevard, police said.

One of the assailants was described as being 5-foot-6 with a thin build, wearing blue jeans and a blue hoodie. The second assailant was 6-foot with a thin build, wearing gray sweat pants and a gray hoodie, police said. Police are asking anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
