Man swipes baby formula from Bay Shore store

Crime Stoppers and the Suffolk County police are asking for the public?s help to identify and locate the man who stole merchandise from a Stop & Shop in Bay Shore. (Nov. 27, 2009)
Suffolk County police are searching for a man they said filled a shopping cart with more than $100 worth of baby formula, left the store without paying for it and fled in a car driven by a woman.
Police said the robbery occurred at the Stop & Shop on Main Street in Bay Shore on Nov. 27. They’re asking anyone with information regarding the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
Police said the man loaded the formula into his cart, but bypassed the registers and fled.
He was seen getting into a waiting silver four-door sedan, possibly a Chevy, driven by a woman. No plate was available.
