Man with kitchen knife robs Franklin Square gas station, cops say
A man armed with a kitchen knife robbed a Sunoco gas station in Franklin Square before dawn Friday, police said.
The robber, who wore a mask to hide his face, demanded and received an unspecified amount of cash.
He also stole cigarettes before fleeing on foot to Polk Avenue, mounting a bicycle, and heading east.
No injuries were reported in the 4:15 a.m. robbery at 355 Franklin Ave.
The suspect was described as 6 feet, wearing a brown jacket, dark pants and gloves.
