A Centereach man who had his New York State driver's license suspended or revoked dozens of times is awaiting arraigment Saturday morning after being pulled over for yet another traffic violation, police said.

A Suffolk County police officer working an aggressive driving detail stopped Daniel Sulima Thursday for failing to signal, and discovered the driver had a licensed that had been suspended and revoked 46 times, police said.

Officer Travis Pfeffer was going eastbound on Sunrise Highway in Oakdale at about 9:30 when a black Ford van exited without signaling, so he stopped it on the service road for a violation, police said.

An investigation revealed that the driver had his New York State driver's license suspended and revoked 46 times.

The suspensions were for a variety of traffic violations, including failure to pay fines, speeding, failure to appear in court and operating without insurance, police said.

Police arrested Sulima for aggravated unlicensed driving and he was awaiting arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip Saturday.
