A 7-Eleven employee was slashed with a knife early Sunday during a robbery in Old Bethpage, Nassau County police said.

A man entered the store at 758 Old Bethpage Rd. at 2:20 a.m., displayed a knife and demanded money, police said in a news release.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, handed over an unknown amount of money from two cash registers, police said. The robber then cut the victim on the neck and both arms. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and then released.

The suspect fled northbound on foot on Old Bethpage Road. He was described as wearing a mask, gloves and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information should call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
