East Massapequa bank robbed; cops issue suspects’ photo

Nassau County police are seeking information to identify a man and woman caught on camera during a bank robbery in East Massapequa on Friday.
Detectives said the man and woman entered the Bethpage Federal Credit Union on 6257 Sunrise Hwy. at 3:32 p.m. and both handed a note to the teller and demanded money. The teller complied, and the man and woman fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
Police said the pair was last seen heading west on foot toward East Willow Street. About nine employees and two customers in the bank during the robbery and none were hurt.
The man is described as 23 to 25 years old and 5 feet, 6 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build. Police said he was wearing a dark hat, a dark jacket with red and white horizontal stripes, camouflage pants and red and white sneakers.
The woman is described as 23 to 25 years old and 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-3. She has a heavier build and was wearing a multicolored winter hat, black and white jacket, purple pants and dark-colored boots.
