A masked man robbed a Massapequa BP gas station with a box cutter on Saturday night, Nassau County police said.

About 11:47 p.m. the man approached the cashier at the station at 900 N. Broadway and demanded cash from the register while displaying the box cutter, according to a news release. The cashier complied and the robber fled on foot north on Broadway with an undetermined amount of cash, Nassau police said.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect wore a dark baseball hat and a dark mask covering the bottom portion of his face, police said.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
