Mastic Beach pedestrian hit-and-run driver sought, cops say
Who hit and seriously injured a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month in Mastic Beach?
That’s what Suffolk County police want to know.
And they’re hoping you can help.
The crash took place on eastbound Pine Road, near the intersection with Beaver Drive, at about 6:30 p.m. on March 4.
The victim, a 35-year-old man from Mastic Beach, was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
The vehicle, possibly a General Motors make, is described as dark-colored and may have front end and headlight damage.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-8477. All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
