Man seriously hurt in Mastic Beach shooting, Suffolk police say

A man was seriously injured in a shooting at a Mastic Beach shopping center Friday, Suffolk police said.
A 911 caller reported the gunfire at about 4:15 p.m. at Mastic Plaza on Mastic Beach Road, police said, and officers learned a man, 25, had been taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Seventh Precinct detectives did not release other details but asked anyone with information to call them at 631-852-8752 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.
