Cops: Man assaulted, woman restrained in Medford home invasion

Three men believed to be armed with handguns invaded a Medford home Tuesday morning and assaulted a man and restrained a woman, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the burglary was drug-related but declined to elaborate.
The man, 29, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in Patchogue for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. The woman was not injured, police said.
The men forced their way into the home on Locust Avenue South about 12:30 a.m., police said. They fled with cash, jewelry and other items, police said.
