Medical waste found on Lattingtown road, police say
Medical waste was found Tuesday morning on a Lattingtown road, Nassau police said.
Shortly after 11 a.m., the village’s commissioner of Highways told police there was a “substantial amount of debris” along Bayville Road and Factory Pond Road, authorities said.
A police spokeswoman did not offer details about what kind of medical waste was found.
Nassau’s legal code lists what it defines as medical waste, including syringes and vaccines for example.
Anyone with information should contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
