Merrick AT&T store robbed by gunman, Nassau police say

A robber with a gun held up a Merrick cellphone store Monday night, Nassau police said.
The heist happened about 7:30 p.m. at the AT&T store on Merrick Road, police said. A crime scene unit responded to the store, the parking lot was cordoned off and investigators took photos just inside the front door.
Robbery detectives were trying to piece together what happened, a police spokesman said, and other details were not immediately available, including whether any employees were tied up.
