A Queens man was charged with grand larceny Saturday after he tried to buy more than $7,000 worth of merchandise using someone else’s Nordstrom account and a New Jersey driver’s license, Nassau County police said.

Police said Michael Graf, 45, of Far Rockaway, successfully made $3,728.86 in purchases at a P.C. Richard & Son earlier in the day using the same victim’s information.

According to police, Graf was at the Nordstrom department store at 630 Old Country Rd., Garden City, around 5 p.m., when he allegedly tried to buy $7,137.50 worth of merchandise using a male victim’s Nordstrom account and the man’s driver’s license, and was apprehended by a loss-prevention employee. An investigation revealed Graf’s earlier purchases at P.C. Richard & Son, police said.

Graf, of 121 Beach 26th St., was charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and two counts of first-degree identity theft. Court records show he was held in lieu of $1,000 bond or $500 cash bail, and that a temporary order of protection was issued at arraignment Sunday.
