Michelle Lankri of Hewlett Bay Park violated social host law, police say
A Hewlett Bay Park woman has been charged with violating the state social host law after police said she held a party during which about 100 underage drinkers were consuming alcohol.
According to a Nassau County police report, police received calls about a loud party at the home of Michelle Lankri, 20, shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday and responding officers saw “between 75 and 100” underage party goers drinking various types of alcoholic beverages.
The state’s social host law holds those over the age of 18 responsible when they permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors at their residences.
Lankri, of 90 Cedar Ave., was scheduled for arraignment on Feb. 10 in First District Court in Hempstead.
No further details were immediately available.
